After you have checked into your 4 star central London hotel, your professional Blue Badge Guide will meet you and the case of Mr. Buchannan will be revealed. This is not a case for slow witted…. remember, you are representing Mr. Holmes in his absence.  Prepare to see all the iconic filming sites from “Sherlock” as well as other important locations . Your first evening is an opportunity to strategize and collaborate with your  fellow Sherlockian sleuths while dining at the famous
 Sherlock Holmes Pub.

“The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes.”

This morning you will have a panoramic tour by motorcoach of London. During the tour you will see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Fleet Street, St. Pauls Cathedral to name but a few.

Walk in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as you discover the locations used in filming “Sherlock” – including such notable sites as Speedy’s Cafe, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, Smithfield and more!

Your guide will then take you to the Thames River Police Station in Wapping, where you will hear about modern day policing and why this was the world’s first Police force.

Enjoy some leisure time on Friday evening to take in the city and enjoy a meal on your own.

Saturday morning you will travel by underground (the London Tube is the oldest in the world and was opened to the public in 1863) Your first visit is to the Tower of London.  With over 900 years of history, this has been a fortification, a palace, a jail, a place of execution and, of course, home to the Crown Jewels.

After lunch you will have a guided tour of the British Museum – one of the finest museums in the world.  You will see the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon Sculptures, the Egyptian Galleries, and even a 5500 year old man called Ginger. This evening there is an optional Jack the Ripper walking tour.

Today you leave London and travel to some of the iconic sights of Southern England.

Your first stop is the City of Bath to explore and to visit the Roman Baths.

Our final destination is to Wales’ capital city, Cardiff.

Cardiff is where BBC drama is now based and many  Cardiff locations were used in filming “Sherlock” (and also “Dr Who”)! You’ll  see Cardiff Castle,  the National Cardiff Museum, the Cardiff docks and  many other sites.

“You know my method. It is founded upon the observation of trifles.”

This morning you’ll head out from Cardiff and travel through Wales where we will visit more locations used in “Sherlock” including Three Bears Cave at Dewer’s Hollow, where the hound appeared and “Grimpon Village” (St. Hilary) as well as St. Woolos Cemetery and Cross Keys Pub.

We continue to Mr. Buchannan’s Manor House for a 2 night stay.

After you have had a chance to go to your room and had a look around the manor house, it is time to meet the other guests for dinner…..

During the next couple of days you will use your deductive skills to work out what actually happened to Mr. Buchannan, how, and why.

“Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.”

Welcome to Mr. Buchannan’s (4-star) country manor estate. It is here that you’ll be putting your sleuthing skills to the test…as your mystery continues at the manor, peppered with fiendish clues.

Your stay at Buchannan’s estate is by far the most immersive part of your adventure.

You’ll need to interact with other guests and manor staff – and put your deduction skills to the test.

After dinner, it is time for you to discuss suspects and make your initial deductions.

This morning we will visit Stonehenge, a Unesco World Heritage Site and one of the most famous prehistoric monuments in the World. This is one of the oldest of all mysteries….

We will continue back to London where you will have an opportunity do some last minute shopping or hone your deductive skills for our evening finale.

We will take a river cruise along the Thames to Greenwich where we have a fantastic final dinner….. and solve the mysterious disappearance of Mr Buchannan once and for all.

“…when you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”

Departure day…… until Holmes needs your help with the next case…
